Description:

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to safely transport, move, and stack ULDs, pallets, and other materials within Unilode’s facilities. This role ensures accurate storage, loading, and unloading while maintaining compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures to support warehouse and station efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe and Efficient Forklift Operations

Customer Focus, Collaborate

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack pallets and ULDs.
  • Ensure safe and efficient material handling, following prescribed work methods and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.

Facility Maintenance and Housekeeping

  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and storage areas in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse organization and safety procedures.
  • Assist with disposal of packaging materials, pallets, and general housekeeping tasks.

Support Warehouse and Station Operations

Ensure Accountability, Drive Results

  • Accurately track inventory movement and assist with stock counting when required.
  • Handle manual ULD and container movements when necessary to support operational needs.
  • Support other operational activities as required to ensure smooth logistics flow.

The Small Print:

This role requires physical activity, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy loads. Shift flexibility may be required to accommodate operational demands, including evenings and weekends. Strict adherence to health, safety, and security regulations is mandatory.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Valid forklift license with at least one year of experience in a logistics or warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, freight handling, and inventory procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a flexible attitude.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
