About the Role:

The Parts Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in the retail trade industry by ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming parts and inventory. This position is responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues. The clerk maintains organized records of all received parts, facilitating smooth inventory management and supporting overall supply chain operations. By managing the flow of parts into the warehouse or retail location, this role directly impacts product availability and customer satisfaction. The Parts Receiving Clerk must work diligently to uphold quality standards and contribute to the operational efficiency of the retail environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Verify received items against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Record and update inventory systems with received parts information promptly and accurately.
  • Report and resolve discrepancies or damaged goods with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to facilitate timely distribution of parts.
  • Assist in periodic inventory audits and stock reconciliations.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
