Job Description

Put the finishing touch on products built to perform.

Hydromotion is looking for a Painter I to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll prepare and professionally finish a variety of manufactured products, helping ensure every product that leaves our facility meets our standards for quality and appearance.

If you have industrial painting experience, take pride in doing quality work, and enjoy working in a manufacturing environment, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Select the correct paint color and product specifications for each job.
  • Mix and thin paint to achieve the required consistency and viscosity.
  • Read and follow work instructions, specifications, and prints.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including masking and covering areas that should not be painted.
  • Apply primer and topcoat to specified thicknesses using spray-painting equipment.
  • Inspect finished work and perform touch-ups or rework as needed.
  • Properly clean equipment using appropriate solvents and maintain the paint booth and surrounding work area.
  • Operate a jib crane to safely move products as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • At least one year of industrial painting experience.
  • Ability to read and understand prints, or the willingness and ability to learn.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and product specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires regular standing, bending, twisting, and use of the hands and fingers, as well as the ability to lift and move completed units weighing up to 35 pounds. The role requires visual acuity for detailed work.

Employees working in the paint area are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a Tyvek suit, chemical hood, gloves, and safety shoes, while using a fresh-air filtration system. This position works in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment with typical manufacturing noise levels.

Why Hydromotion?
