The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to support activities of accounts payable at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. This is an integral part of the Finance department, overseeing the company's vendor disbursements. This role works with assigned staff to ensure all money owed to the company's vendors are recorded in a timely manner in accordance with the company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to AP Specialists including training and reviews.
- Motivate and lead the team in system development processes and efficiencies. Take corrective action as needed.
- Work with purchasing and receiving departments to receive timely documents to support the payment of invoices in the proper time frame to ensure that cash discounts are earned.
- Facilitate recently implemented AP automation to maximize the potential of the software.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, business management, or related field; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience and that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated accounts payable experience.
- Experience dealing with high volume processing.
- Highly proficient in AP automation protocol, ERP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS-Excel
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and credit screen.
