Responsibilities
The Life Engineering Team is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer that will be responsible for supporting our test and production environments including: Linux/Unix, Windows and Oracle (OIPA) environments. This position will require the individual to provide 7X24X365 support across all those platforms. Additionally, this resource will serve as the team lead and will be responsible for managing the team backlog as well as setting direction as the team provides support for all Life Proactive monitoring. The position will require extensive knowledge of the Life underwriting process as they will be working closely with that product, which currently resides on the LINUX/Unix platform. The team is made up of individuals that work in various locations around the world and in different time zones, so after hours meetings will be a requirement. The team is also responsible for developing tools in multiple platforms so extensive experience and a proven ability to develop tools in AWS and other languages is critical. Our Life products continue to migrate our quoting and purchasing applications to our new Oracle (OIPA) platform so extensive experience and proven abilities are a must. From a support standpoint we work closely with all Life product teams, so having experience partnering with product teams is also a requirement of this individual as well as a requirement of this position
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix specifically RHEL 8/Ubuntu – Must that 15+ years of Linux/Unix experience service as a Server Type Owner
Extensive knowledge of DB2 – Must have 15+year of experience working with DB2
Must have experience with multiple programming languages (Python, Perl, JavaScript, etc)
Must have a minimum of 15 years working with Life Insurance products including: Underwriting, Whole and Term, Annuities, Claims
Extensive knowledge of Service Now
Must have Developed and implemented infrastructure solutions to ensure available and stable delivery platforms, mainframe environments, storage platforms, client hardware, or other infrastructure capabilities
Must have proven examples of proactively developing tools to manage infrastructure capabilities and increase efficiency of infrastructure operations

- Potential starting salary range: $120,000 - $165,000
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
