Bayside Care Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Cook to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of foods including meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, desserts, modified diet foods, and casseroles according to standard recipes.

- Ensure all food is prepared in sufficient quantities to meet service requirements.

- Coordinate food preparation timing to align with meal service schedules.

- Estimate food requirements and efficiently utilize leftovers to minimize waste.

- Present food attractively to enhance the dining experience.

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.

- Follow safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.

- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of kitchen supplies.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting.

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and modified diet preparation.

- Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures accurately.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation.

- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meal schedules.

- Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent (preferred).
