Location: Anywhere in Tennessee
Home Office: Memphis, TN
Work Options: In office, hybrid, or remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Compensation: 100% of applicable sales commissions, plus a $2,500 monthly bonus and a $5,000 bonus upon successful program completion, subject to the compensation agreement and program requirements.
About the Opportunity
Ready to turn your sales skills into a business ownership opportunity? We are seeking motivated, business-minded professionals to join the Farmers Insurance Associate Agent program.
This opportunity combines insurance sales, professional training, and district support to help you develop the skills needed to pursue agency ownership. You will build customer relationships, grow your sales pipeline, and learn how to operate an insurance business while earning commissions and bonuses.
The Associate Agent opportunity can last up to 24 months. Advancement to agency ownership depends on successful completion of applicable business, licensing, training, and appointment requirements.
What You Will Do
Prospect for new customers through calls, referrals, networking, and digital outreach.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
Prepare quotes, explain coverage options, and close sales.
Build lasting relationships with individuals, families, and business owners.
Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on sales opportunities.
Work toward established production goals and program milestones.
Complete required training through the University of Farmers®.
Collaborate with the Memphis district office to develop your sales and business management skills.
Follow applicable insurance regulations and company procedures.
What We Are Looking For
A motivated sales professional with an interest in becoming an agency owner.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
The ability to prospect consistently, manage a pipeline, and follow through.
A coachable attitude and commitment to meeting goals.
Strong organization and time management skills.
An active Tennessee Property & Casualty insurance license before starting; additional Life & Health licensing as required for program milestones and agency ownership.
Successful completion of the required background check.
For remote work, a dependable internet connection and a professional workspace.
Experience in sales, insurance, banking, real estate, business development, or management is preferred.
Compensation and Support
100% of applicable commissions earned on your insurance sales.
An additional $2,500 monthly bonus, subject to the agreed compensation terms.
A $5,000 completion bonus upon successfully satisfying the program’s completion requirements.
Training and support from district and territory offices.
In-office, hybrid, or remote work options throughout Tennessee.
