Position Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, accurate, organized, and efficient operation of the Lindon warehouse and material-handling functions.

This position provides direct leadership and accountability for Warehouse personnel and is responsible for inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, material storage and control, production material readiness, Fishbowl ERP transactions, warehouse equipment, and the overall condition and organization of warehouse areas.

A primary responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor is ensuring that Production has the correct materials, in the correct quantities, properly identified, systematically allocated/committed, and physically staged before they are required. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong floor presence, exceptional organization, attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to independently organize people, inventory, equipment, and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Supervisory responsibility: all Warehouse personnel assigned to the Lindon facility.

Leadership Expectations

The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to own the condition of the warehouse and the integrity of the inventory, not simply oversee warehouse employees. A successful Warehouse Supervisor knows what materials are arriving, what is leaving, what Production will need next, where inventory is physically located, whether Fishbowl accurately reflects that inventory, and whether the Warehouse team is prepared to support the operation.

The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to identify discrepancies and operational risks before they become production problems. When a discrepancy occurs, the expectation is not simply to correct the number in Fishbowl; the Supervisor must understand why the discrepancy occurred, correct the underlying process, and prevent recurrence.

Likewise, having material somewhere in the warehouse does not constitute production readiness. Material must be released, correctly identified, accurately picked, properly allocated/committed to the work order in Fishbowl, physically staged, and available before Production needs it.

Success in this role means inventory can be trusted; Fishbowl accurately reflects physical inventory; materials can be located quickly; receiving and shipping are accurate and controlled; Production has the correct materials staged before they are needed; warehouse equipment and supplies are ready for use; records are complete; the warehouse is safe, clean, and organized; and production does not experience avoidable downtime because the Warehouse was unprepared.
