Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Brand Activation Specialist based in Germany.
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Brand Activation Specialist to lead high-impact advertising and brand experiences across the traveller journey. In this hands-on role, you will own negotiations and execution across in-flight advertising, out-of-home (OOH) media, and experiential activations. You will manage campaigns from initial opportunity identification and contract negotiation through production, launch, and performance reporting. Working with external agencies, media partners, and internal creative and commercial teams, you will deliver engaging brand experiences across airports, transport networks, and other high-traffic environments. You will also identify activation opportunities within distribution partnerships and ensure campaigns align with wider brand objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an independent, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment and is comfortable managing substantial budgets.
Lead end-to-end negotiations for in-flight advertising contracts, including annual renewals, ensuring agreed deliverables and commercial terms meet brand objectives.
Manage in-flight advertising updates, including video content and magazine or image assets, coordinating changes with relevant partners and internal teams.
Oversee the complete production lifecycle of in-flight video content, working with audiovisual specialists on editing, production schedules, asset delivery, and final publication.
Develop and execute OOH advertising strategies across airports, subway and metro networks, transit environments, billboards, and digital out-of-home placements.
Identify new media opportunities, negotiate contracts, coordinate campaign production, and oversee delivery across relevant markets and locations.
Source, negotiate, and execute brand activation opportunities, including pop-ups, experiential booths, brand takeovers, airport experiences, retail and travel-hub activations, and live events.
Collaborate with other brand teams to integrate activations into broader campaigns and maximise the value of media investments.
Partner with the Partnerships team to assess activation opportunities within existing and prospective distribution partnerships, evaluating brand alignment, audience relevance, and commercial potential.
Manage relationships with external agencies, media affiliates, venue operators, and event partners, ensuring clear briefs, realistic timelines, and delivery against agreed scopes.
Establish campaign KPIs before launch, monitor execution, and prepare post-campaign reports to assess performance and inform future investment decisions.
Work closely with the Brand Sponsorships Manager to connect campaign results with wider sponsorship performance and brand health metrics.
Take ownership of substantial, potentially multi-million-euro budgets, balancing commercial negotiations, production requirements, and campaign impact.
At least 5 years of experience in media, sponsorships, brand marketing, partnerships, or a related field, ideally with hands-on exposure to in-flight advertising, OOH media, or other offline media negotiations.
Demonstrated success negotiating high-value advertising or sponsorship contracts and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills, with the confidence to manage opportunities independently from initial discussions through signed agreements and final delivery.
Established contacts across in-flight media affiliates, OOH advertising vendors, external agencies, or venue and event partners.
Proven ability to coordinate multi-month production processes involving external suppliers and internal creative or audiovisual teams.
Experience managing significant budgets and maintaining accountability for financial performance, including comfort overseeing multi-million-euro investments.
Excellent written and spoken English, as it is the primary language for business communication.
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
Adaptability, initiative, and a proactive mindset suited to a fast-moving, international scale-up environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Nice to have: Experience in travel, aviation, or lifestyle media; experience supporting global consumer brands or digital-first products; familiarity with audiovisual and creative production; conversational Spanish.
Fully remote work: Work remotely within the advertised European location framework.
Flexible working hours: Organise your working schedule with flexibility to support work-life balance.
Professional development: Access a dedicated budget for training and continued learning.
Paid time off: Enjoy 20 days of paid annual leave to rest, recharge, and explore.
International exposure: Collaborate with external partners and internal teams across markets and contribute to brand experiences at multiple touchpoints in the traveller journey.
End-to-end ownership: Take responsibility for high-profile advertising negotiations and activations, with the opportunity to see campaigns move from concept to live execution.
Employment arrangement: Depending on the country of residence, the role may require a B2B or self-employed contract. Applicants should be prepared for a mandatory on-site onboarding session despite the remote working arrangement.
