The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Patient Care Services supports the Vice President in planning, delivering, and evaluating top-tier care across the Medical Center and surrounding community. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, the AVP balances optimal clinical outcomes with professional staff development while continuously ensuring the organization's financial sustainability.

In close partnership with the Patient Care Management Team, the AVP drives the delivery of compassionate, culturally competent, and cost-effective services. Additionally, they maintain oversight of operations to guarantee that all units and departments strictly comply with relevant healthcare policies, laws, and regulatory standards.

The role might be for you if:

-Thrive as a Visible, Collaborative Leader: You excel at building strong, positive relationships across the board—with physicians, staff, patients, and executives—and you pride yourself on being an accessible mentor and an effective agent for positive organizational change.

-Are a Champion for Clinical Quality & Safety: You have a proven track record of establishing evidence-based practice standards, utilizing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles, and maintaining strict, continuous readiness for state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations.

-Balance Fiscal Responsibility with Staffing Needs: You know how to align department budgets with strategic objectives, expertly manage financial variances, and optimize both labor and non-labor resources to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

-Excel at Talent Development & Retention: You are passionate about building diverse, culturally competent teams and fostering a supportive clinical environment through strategic recruitment, continuous training, performance feedback, and robust employee recognition.

-Execute with Agility and Urgency: You are highly organized, comfortable managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, and remain resilient, focused, and solutions-oriented when facing complex healthcare obstacles.
