Position Overview:

Detroit Defense is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support laboratory environment configuration management in a dynamic defense environment. This role requires hands-on technical expertise across networking hardware, enterprise software, and DoD configuration management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage configuration management of laboratory environments consisting of networking hardware and enterprise software

• Develop, update, and maintain DoD configuration management documentation in compliance with applicable standards

• Support Navy Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) processes and procedures

• Administer and maintain RHEL, Windows Server, and Windows Client operating systems

• Manage virtualization environments using VMware

• Utilize Ansible for configuration automation and management

• Support Cisco networking infrastructure and NETSEC requirements

• Maintain configuration data and records within CMPro and JIRA

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure configuration integrity across laboratory systems

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience maintaining configuration management of laboratory environments consisting of networking hardware and enterprise software

• Active Security Clearance required

• Experience with Navy Preventative Maintenance System (PMS)

• Proficiency with RHEL, Windows Server, and Windows Client operating systems

• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms

• Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation

• Experience with Cisco networking equipment and NETSEC

• Proficiency with CMPro and JIRA

• Demonstrated experience developing DoD configuration management documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Navy or DoD laboratory environments

• Familiarity with ITSM or change management frameworks

• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
