This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful, high-quality site launches across a fast-paced, global logistics environment supporting leading automotive and technology clients. You will act as a key quality leader during new site start-ups, driving structured launch readiness, training, validation, and risk mitigation activities. Working closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and customer teams, you will ensure that quality standards are embedded from the very beginning of each program. The position requires strong field presence, with significant travel across North America to support launch execution and stabilization. You will also contribute to standardizing quality practices, improving operational performance, and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement. This is a highly visible role where your expertise directly impacts launch success, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across multiple sites.

Accountabilities

Lead and execute end-to-end quality activities for new site and product launches, ensuring compliance with defined quality standards and alignment with customer and internal requirements. Act as the primary quality representative during launch phases, coordinating closely with operations, engineering, and customer stakeholders to ensure readiness and successful execution.

  • Collect and analyze data from internal and customer sources to support problem-solving, reporting, and decision-making across launch activities.
  • Lead all quality engineering launch functions, including shop floor support, product containment, and new hire training execution.
  • Develop and maintain APQP and PFEP documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, and associated quality deliverables.
  • Drive on-site readiness activities, ensuring successful execution of steady-state and major operational launches.
  • Design and implement training materials, training exercises, and standardized work instructions, while maintaining training scorecards and effectiveness tracking.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operations, identifying gaps, and implementing best practices and standardized quality metrics across sites.
  • Collaborate with regional and local teams to ensure alignment on quality standards, compliance, and process consistency across all operations.
Requirements

This role requires hands-on experience in quality engineering within manufacturing, automotive, medical devices, or logistics environments, along with strong knowledge of structured launch and APQP methodologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality-focused role within automotive, medical devices, logistics, or similar regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Experience with structured launch processes and APQP tools including FMEA, control plans, and process mapping.
  • Ability to develop training programs and support workforce readiness in operational environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with market standards.
  • Remote role with extensive travel opportunities across North America.
  • Exposure to large-scale global logistics operations and high-impact launch programs.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing international organization focused on innovation and digital transformation.
  • Professional development and continuous learning within a global supply chain leader.
  • Inclusive, collaborative work environment emphasizing diversity and cross-cultural teamwork.
  • Opportunity to directly influence operational quality and launch success across multiple sites.
