Outpatient Clinical Operations Lead (Florida)About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Clinical Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing Florida office. This individual will serve as the office's first Front Desk Coordinator and Medical Assistant, providing hands-on clinical and administrative support while establishing efficient workflows and operational standards.

As the office grows, this position will transition into a leadership role responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and supporting additional front desk and clinical staff. This is a working leadership position requiring someone who is comfortable balancing patient care, office operations, and team development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience working in an outpatient medical practice.
  • Demonstrated experience performing both Front Desk and Medical Assistant responsibilities.
  • Previous experience as a team lead, office lead, supervisor, or manager in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of patient scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, outpatient clinical workflows, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience with patient intake, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting physicians, and clinical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience helping open or grow a medical office.
  • Experience hiring, training, or mentoring staff.
  • Experience developing or improving office workflows.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience with scheduling and patient communication platforms.
  • Specialty practice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Front Desk Coordinator and Medical Assistant for the Florida office.
  • Manage daily office operations to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Schedule patients, verify insurance, coordinate referrals and authorizations, and communicate with patients.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, prepare examination rooms, document patient information, and assist physicians during clinic.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.
  • Develop and improve office workflows and operational procedures.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and supervise future front desk and clinical staff.
  • Monitor staffing, equipment, and supplies to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Foster a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
