Position Description:

Are you an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems and keeping things running safely and efficiently? As a Maintenance Technician III, you’ll perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical systems, and HVAC. Your work will help ensure our site is safe, functional, and well-maintained for staff and individuals served.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, action-oriented professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex maintenance issues, and collaborate with others to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, building systems, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
  • Service, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and repair machinery, electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, wiring, and other equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Complete assigned work orders, including preventive maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies while on call.
  • Use work order systems to accurately document maintenance activities, materials used, labor hours, and completed repairs.
  • Conduct daily inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies; reorder materials as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments, contractors, and vendors to support timely completion of projects.
  • Test and calibrate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Participate in training to stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Follow all company, client agency, and accreditation requirements related to safety, maintenance, and compliance.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Additional technical trade or college-level coursework, vocational training, or an associate degree in a relevant field (preferred).

Experience

  • At least three (3) years of specialized maintenance experience (required).
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or building systems strongly (preferred).
  • Experience working with work order systems, preventive maintenance programs, contractors, and vendors is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Required licensure or certification in a relevant trade, such as:
    • Plumbing
    • HVAC
    • Electrical
    • Carpentry
    • EPA refrigerant certification
    • Other applicable maintenance or skilled trade certification
