JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operate mobile cranes to lift and move materials, machines, or products in multiple industries for a wide variety of clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation of cranes and other lift equipment within crane load limits
Load capacities that ensures safe operation and rigging during project, familiar with crane load charts
Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload, and ensure crane is properly spotted for safe operation within load limits of crane
Move levers, depress foot pedals, or turn dials to operate cranes, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads
Clean, lubricate, and maintain mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, or grappling devices, make repairs as necessary
Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage
Direct team members engaged in placing blocking or outriggers under cranes
Direct truck drivers backing vehicles into loading bays cover, uncover, or secure loads for delivery
Ensure all required documents such as permits, logbooks, fuel and mileage reports, daily/monthly crane inspection reports, and related paperwork are completed on a requirement basis
Oversee daily safety requirements for assigned crew
Bend, twist, squat, climb ladders and similar structures
Load, unload, and secure heavy equipment
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years experience
Valid class A CDL with no restrictions (REQUIRED)
NCCCO TLL- swing cab certification (REQUIRED)
TSS, LBC, TWR (preferred)
Commercial driving 2+ yrs experience required
Loading, unloading, and securing heavy equipment, 1 year preferred
General knowledge of construction equipment and heavy machinery
General knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Physical fitness and ability to lift 80 pounds
Ability to work at heights and noisy environments
Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
Basic mathematical skills
Punctual and willing to take directions
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol test
Must pass pre-employment MVR check
Must pass pre-employment and annual DOT Clearinghouse query
Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States
SCHEDULE:
8-12 hour shift
Monday-Friday
Occasional weekends
