Accountabilities:

The General Ledger Analyst will support core accounting operations with a focus on fixed assets, reconciliations, compliance, and financial reporting accuracy.

  • Perform bank reconciliations to verify cash transactions and safeguard organizational assets.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Prepare account analyses and financial reports to identify and resolve recording issues before financial statement close.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, disposals, and write-offs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Support audit activities by maintaining clear audit trails and providing requested documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to deliver critical financial information and resolve accounting issues.
  • Monitor general ledger activity and recommend corrective actions when discrepancies or process gaps are identified.
  • Contribute to process consistency and operational efficiency by following established accounting procedures and standards.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting with a focus on general ledger activities.
  • Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and audit support.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar enterprise accounting platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard financial reporting tools.
