Accountabilities:

The Test Engineer II will be responsible for validating software quality through comprehensive testing practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet functional and technical expectations. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to contribute effectively within an agile development environment.

  • Analyze user requirements, product architecture, and technical designs to define effective testing strategies.
  • Design and document test cases for both functional and non-functional testing scenarios.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform manual and automated testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply innovative testing approaches and tools to strengthen product quality and release readiness.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear technical details and reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and agile team members to resolve issues and improve delivery processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide visibility into testing progress, risks, and potential delays.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing methodologies, automation, and quality practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a quality-focused Test Engineer with experience in software testing, automation, and agile development environments. You should have strong analytical abilities, technical curiosity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
  • Strong passion for software quality and delivering reliable user experiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with software testing or development on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python or C#/.NET.
  • Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as UFT, CodedUI, or equivalent solutions.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and issue management tools.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a distributed team environment.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
