In this role, you will serve as a technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle, helping customers understand how advanced technology solutions can address their operational challenges. You will collaborate with sales executives, product teams, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes while contributing to technical excellence across the organization.
- Partner with sales leaders to plan, prepare, and execute strategic enterprise sales opportunities involving complex buying processes.
- Translate customer requirements and business challenges into tailored technical solutions and value-driven recommendations.
- Build trusted relationships with customers by providing technical guidance throughout discovery, evaluation, proof-of-concept, and deployment phases.
- Demonstrate expertise across multiple technology layers, including hardware deployments, SaaS platforms, integrations, APIs, and connected systems.
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives, including solution configuration, hardware installation, dashboard setup, and technical validation.
- Develop custom reporting solutions and integrations using available APIs and technical tools.
- Mentor other Sales Engineers by sharing technical knowledge, industry insights, and best practices.
- Contribute to team enablement initiatives, technical training, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Act as a customer advocate by collecting feedback, identifying product opportunities, and partnering with internal teams to improve solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge, enterprise sales experience, and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to both technical and business audiences. You should be comfortable managing complex customer engagements and collaborating across teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise technical software sales, solution consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs into successful sales outcomes and business solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud software, security, networking, automation, and control systems.
- Experience designing, presenting, and supporting complex technical solutions and customer evaluations.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems in operational environments.
- Strong business acumen with experience developing financial models, business cases, and solution recommendations.
- Experience leading complex projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support customer engagements.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with APIs, scripting languages such as Python, or similar technical tools.
- Background in technical enablement, mentoring, or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and analytics platforms.
- Industry experience in routing, navigation, logistics, transportation, or commercial fleet operations.
- Ability to collaborate across global teams and support multiple time zones.
- Fluency in additional languages such as Spanish or French.
- Competitive annual on-target earnings (OTE) range of approximately $198,050 - $233,000 USD, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
