Job Description

Help Shape the Future of Modern Mobility

Role Overview

The Lead, Social and Content leads social content strategy and execution, grows the creator program, and turns brand direction and performance insights into relevant, distinctive content. This role brings a strong creative eye, moves comfortably between quick-turn and produced content, and leads a small team and external partners to deliver work that builds the brand and performs across channels.

  • Lead day-to-day social and creator content, helping set priorities and standards across organic social, UGC, influencer, and affiliate content.
  • Report to and work closely with the Head of Brand Content to translate brand strategy, campaign direction, launches, and always-on priorities into social-first ideas, formats, and content plans.
  • Lead and develop a small team and manage creator, agency, and freelance partners to strengthen creative quality, brand voice, speed, and scale.
  • Use performance data, platform trends, and cultural insight to improve content decisions and build stronger connections with consumers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead creative ideation for social and creator content, developing concepts, recurring series, formats, briefs, and shot lists that help the brand stand out.
  • Set monthly themes and content pillars and oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring content is timely, channel-appropriate, and aligned with broader brand and business priorities.
  • Direct and capture content across production tiers, deciding what should be filmed quickly in-house, what requires a produced shoot, and what should come from creators or external partners.
  • Create native, social-first content when speed matters and brief the in-house creative team, creators, agencies, and team members for larger or more specialized needs.
  • Support the creator program by sourcing, vetting, briefing, and coordinating creators across seeding, UGC, affiliate, and paid partnerships.
  • Build clear creator processes for contracts, rates, usage rights, approvals, and disclosure requirements in partnership with Legal and other internal teams.
  • Partner with the influencer agency by developing briefs, reviewing work, coordinating priorities, and tracking agreed deliverables and KPIs.
  • Lead and develop the social and content team, coaching team members on creative quality, brand voice, platform best practices, and performance.
  • Manage the social content and creator budget, allocate spend based on priorities and opportunity, and report on performance and return.
  • Deliver monthly performance reporting with clear recommendations on what to do more of, what to improve, and what to stop.
  • Stay current on platform changes, creators, trends, and emerging formats, acting quickly when opportunities fit the brand.
  • Collaborate with Brand Content, Visual Content, DTC, Media, CRM, Amazon, Retail, and other partners so social and creator content can work harder across the consumer journey.

What It Takes

  • 4–6 years of experience in social, content, creator, or influencer marketing for a consumer brand or agency, with experience guiding projects or mentoring others.
  • Strong portfolio of social and creator content you helped conceive and execute, with clear examples of performance and business impact.
  • Hands-on experience running creator or influencer partnerships and managing an influencer or creator agency.
  • Comfort filming and editing lo-fi, native social content on a phone and briefing photographers, videographers, creators, and other creative partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to use reporting and platform insights to shape content strategy, priorities, and investment decisions.

Capabilities

  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to evaluate imagery, video, and copy through both a brand and social-first lens.
  • Ability to guide projects, give clear creative feedback, and get strong work from internal and external partners.
  • Commercial and operational judgment across prioritization, budgeting, creator investment, production choices, and resource allocation.
  • Resourcefulness, cultural curiosity, and the ability to move quickly while protecting brand quality and consistency.

Why this role matters

  • Turns social from a publishing channel into a stronger source of brand storytelling, cultural relevance, and consumer connection.
  • Builds an effective creator capability that expands reach, relevance, content volume, and credibility.
  • Improves creative quality and performance through stronger planning, faster content creation, clearer measurement, and smarter investment.
