Cafe Dishwasher

1st Shift - 7:30AM-4:00PM

2nd Shift - 3:00PM-11:30PM

JOB SUMMARY:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas. This role supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring clean supplies are consistently available for food preparation and service while following all food safety and sanitation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure clean dishes and supplies are readily available to support food preparation and service for team members and customers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and other tasks as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Report equipment issues, supply shortages, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet work expectations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, stooping, carrying supplies, stocking products, and cleaning work areas. The ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy food service environment is essential.
