Sr. Delivery Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Delivery Manager based in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of complex, high-value delivery programs, ensuring that large-scale technology projects are executed with precision, accountability, and strong client alignment. The Senior Delivery Manager will lead cross-functional teams responsible for end-to-end project execution, balancing scope, timeline, budget, and quality across multiple concurrent initiatives. This position plays a critical role in maintaining client trust by serving as a senior point of contact and ensuring consistent communication and transparency throughout delivery cycles. Operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, the role requires strong leadership to manage teams, resolve escalations, and drive operational excellence. It also demands a deep understanding of software delivery frameworks and lifecycle management in enterprise or government settings. The ideal candidate will influence delivery strategy while ensuring disciplined execution and financial performance across programs.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of complex programs, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor delivery teams, including subordinate leaders and cross-functional professionals, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Serve as the primary client interface, managing expectations, providing updates, and strengthening long-term client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Oversee program financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis across multiple initiatives.
  • Allocate resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal workload distribution and schedule adherence.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve delivery risks, escalations, and operational roadblocks in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and compliant delivery of contracted services and outputs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10–12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5–6+ years of leadership experience managing teams and large-scale delivery programs.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets between $2M–$5M and teams of 15+ members.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and application lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior client stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing delivery roles within complex, fast-paced environments.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to government/DoD-related work; ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and escalation management capabilities.
