- Develop detailed telecommunications site designs using field data, GIS tools, satellite imagery, as-built documentation, and engineering resources.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering, design, drafting, permitting, and client teams to ensure clear communication and execution.
- Apply knowledge of OSP telecommunications standards, construction methods, and NESC regulations to ensure safe and compliant design outputs.
- Review fiber, utility, and construction drawings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to client and industry standards.
- Establish and enforce QA/QC processes to maintain high-quality deliverables and proper documentation across all design packages.
- Track project progress using reporting tools, dashboards, and documentation systems to manage schedules, risks, and budgets.
- Mentor and support design and drafting teams, guiding them through the full project lifecycle and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years of experience in telecommunications design, OSP/ISP engineering, or site development roles.
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within design or engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of OSP/ISP telecommunications standards, including aerial, buried, and underground network design principles.
- Deep understanding of NESC standards and utility/municipal design compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, IQGEO, or Vetro.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and project documentation tools.
- Familiarity with telecom platforms such as Sitetracker and Comcast workflows is highly preferred.
- Experience integrating CommScope products and telecom hardware into design packages is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
