As a Hospital Housekeeper at UNC Health Appalachian, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare team members. Compensation: Starts at $16.00/hour
Schedule: Flexible PRN or Part-time schedule

What You'll Do
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, hallways, and public areas.
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the hospital.
- Restock supplies and assist with departmental organization.
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Properly handle waste and recyclable materials.
- Work as part of a team to support patient care through environmental cleanliness.
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
Who We're Looking For
No healthcare experience is required.
We're seeking employees who are:
- At least 16 years of age.
- Dependable and willing to learn.
- Positive team players with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable following instructions and safety procedures.
- Interested in gaining professional work experience.
- Able to communicate respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff.
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Ability to move cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and healthcare environments.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
