What Will Your Next Role Look Like?

As a Content Operations Specialist at Peliplat, you will play a central role in building and activating our interactive cinema community. This is a hybrid role at the intersection of content, community, and live operations. You will create and curate content, activate users and creators, and operate Virtual Screening Rooms as high-impact social experiences. From writing and editing to live event execution and viral content creation, you will help turn every user interaction into engagement, and every event into growth.; by driving user participation, supporting creators, and helping scale our self-sustaining UGC ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who can be both creative and driven, and excited to operate in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Curation
  • Support content planning aligned with campaigns, screenings, and platform initiatives
  • Identify and amplify high-performing UGC and community content
  • Contribute to storytelling formats that drive engagement across the platform
  • Produce and curate high-quality content, including film reviews, editorial pieces, and shortform video content
Community & UGC Operations
  • Manage daily community activities, including discussions, circles, polls, and engagement initiatives.
  • Drive user participation across pre-watch, during-watch, and post-watch phases.
  • Foster a strong, positive, and interactive community culture.
  • Lead the execution of Monthly Writing Challenge operations and special event community challenges, including liaising with partner organizations under the supervision of the Manager of Public Relations.
Creator & Influencer Activation
  • Take ownership of creator growth by actively sourcing and recruiting new content creators, critics, and co-watching hosts across online platforms and in-person events, while onboarding and supporting their success on the platform.
  • Guide creators on how to host engaging sessions and grow their presence on the platform.
  • Identify high-potential users and nurture them into active contributors.
  • Support incentive mechanisms to drive consistent content creation.
Content & Growth
  • Capture key moments from screenings (reactions, discussions, highlights)
  • Edit and produce short-form video content for in-app and external platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create viral content loops that drive installs and awareness
  • Turn live events into scalable, shareable content
Data & Performance Optimization
  • Track key metrics such as engagement, event participation, content performance, and user activity
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to improve content, events, and community strategies
  • Continuously optimize workflows, formats, and creator activation strategies
  • Support operational tracking using tools like Excel or Google Sheets
Screening & Event Operations
  • Set up and execute Virtual Screening Rooms, including scheduling, video configuration, and live event management.
  • Act as the on-site operator during live events, ensuring a smooth, engaging, “cinema-like” experience
  • Support flagship events (e.g., creator-led watch-alongs) to generate high engagement and shareable moments.
  • Troubleshoot live issues and optimize user experience in real time.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Film, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in content operations, community management, or content creation.
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English. Spanish, or Portuguese required.
  • Experience with UGC platforms, creator ecosystems, or social communities.
  • Hands-on experience with short-form video creation/editing (e.g., CapCut or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of digital content trends and audience behaviour.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with influencers or managing creator communities.
  • Background in film, media, or entertainment content.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and performance tracking.
  • Experience with live-streaming or event-based platforms.
