About Celtic Sea Salt®

For more than 50 years, Celtic Sea Salt® has set the standard for exceptional, naturally harvested sea salt—earning the trust of consumers who care deeply about quality, authenticity, and the connection between food, health, and the planet. As the #1 premium sea salt brand in the United States, we are building on an iconic legacy and entering an exciting new chapter of growth.

We are a purpose-driven company with the energy of an entrepreneurial business and the strength of an established brand. We value thoughtful growth, meaningful partnerships, personal accountability, and people who see possibility—then roll up their sleeves, find smart solutions, and help bring it to life.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially driven Director of Sales to play a pivotal role in Celtic Sea Salt®’s next stage of growth. Leading strategic national accounts and priority channels—with a focus on Club, Mass, and National Grocery Retail—you will turn company strategy into winning customer plans, deepen influential retailer partnerships, unlock new distribution, and build the commercial capabilities needed to scale.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for someone energized by the pace and complexity of CPG and natural foods. The ideal candidate brings trusted customer relationships, disciplined trade and financial management, and sharp category instincts—along with the agility to move quickly, navigate ambiguity, and turn limited resources into meaningful results.

What You’ll Lead

  • National account growth: Own strategic customer relationships and annual account plans; expand distribution, assortment, velocity, and share while protecting the brand’s premium positioning.
  • New business development: Build a disciplined pipeline across priority channels, develop persuasive customer stories, and convert opportunities into sustainable, profitable distribution.
  • Joint business planning: Lead customer strategy, line reviews, business reviews, and negotiations across pricing, promotions, assortment, terms, and growth investments.
  • Revenue and P&L delivery: Achieve sales, gross margin, trade-spend, and profitability goals; evaluate customer economics and recommend investments based on return and long-term value.
  • Forecasting and demand planning: Maintain accurate forecasts, communicate risks and opportunities, and partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to support service levels and inventory health.
  • Trade and promotional effectiveness: Develop trade plans, monitor deductions and spend, assess promotional performance, and continuously improve return on investment.
  • Broker and distributor leadership: Set expectations, establish scorecards, review performance, and ensure external partners execute against brand, customer, and financial priorities.
  • Category and market insight: Use syndicated data, customer data, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and strengthen selling stories.
  • Cross-functional execution: Partner with Marketing, Innovation, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain on launches, pricing, assortment, promotions, and customer commitments.
  • Team leadership: Build an accountable, collaborative sales culture that values initiative, creative problem-solving, and decisive action through clear priorities, coaching, disciplined operating rhythms, and a solutions-oriented approach to execution.

What Success Looks Like

  • Profitable revenue growth and stronger distribution in priority customers and channels.
  • A healthy pipeline of new business and expansion opportunities with clear ownership and timing.
  • Reliable forecasts, disciplined trade investment, and improved visibility to customer profitability.
  • Stronger retailer, broker, and distributor partnerships supported by clear plans and accountability.
  • Seamless cross-functional execution that balances customer opportunity with operational readiness.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales or key account leadership experience in CPG, preferably within natural, organic, specialty food, grocery, or premium consumer brands.
  • Demonstrated success managing major national retailers and delivering measurable growth in revenue, distribution, and profitability.
  • Direct experience with Club, Mass, and/or National Grocery Retail customers; established buyer and category relationships are strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of forecasting, customer P&Ls, trade planning, deductions, promotional analysis, and joint business planning.
  • Experience leading brokers and distributors and working effectively across a lean, fast-moving organization where collaboration and ownership are essential.
  • Fluency with syndicated and retailer data platforms and the ability to turn insights into clear commercial action.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and executive-influence skills.
  • A hands-on, adaptable leadership style; a can-do attitude; comfort moving between strategy and execution; and the resourcefulness to make progress in a fast-moving environment. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 35–40% for home office visits, trade shows, customer meetings, and other company initiatives.

Who You Are

You are a strategic relationship builder, disciplined operator, and thoughtful leader who takes ownership and creates momentum. You combine urgency with sound judgment, challenge assumptions with data, and align people around the opportunities that matter most. Scrappy and resourceful, you roll up your sleeves, turn obstacles into practical solutions, and keep the bigger picture in focus.

Why Celtic Sea Salt®?

This is a rare opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact on a nationally recognized premium brand with more than 50 years of history—and significant growth potential ahead. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape customer strategy, strengthen commercial capabilities, and directly influence where and how we invest for the future.

If you are ready to lead with ownership, build partnerships that create mutual value, and help accelerate the next chapter of an iconic brand, we would love to hear from you.

Celtic Sea Salt® is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
