  • Correlate and deliver performance data across VA monitoring platforms to support incident response.
  • Escalate critical alerts to VA stakeholders using knowledge of workflow systems and multi-environment application processes.
  • Serve as a technical SME, working with system, application, and network administrators to refine alert thresholds and reduce false positives.
  • Escalate monitoring tool issues to appropriate support teams and contribute to Knowledge Base Article improvements.
  • Support enterprise-level triage and incident resolution while gaining experience with VA system infrastructure.
  • Participate in shift-based support, including weekends, holidays, and off-hours as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5+ years of professional experience, or 13+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration and operations, including performance monitoring, trend analysis, and alert generation.
  • 5+ years of experience in application/platform support, including monitoring tool configuration, change control, and major incident response.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex enterprise-scale applications with cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of monitoring and troubleshooting experience with at least two APM tools such as Dynatrace, ScienceLogic, Elastic, AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, or SolarWinds.
  • 5+ years of enterprise IT experience across Unix/Linux, Windows, and mainframe environments.
  • 1+ years of experience with service virtualization, AWS or Azure cloud technologies, containers, SaaS, or PaaS implementations.
  • Experience tracking and reporting team scheduling considerations and managing client communications related to team performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with enterprise ITSM tools, especially ServiceNow.
  • Experience managing virtual teams.
  • Prior experience supporting IT operations or systems within a healthcare environment.
