We take pride in being one of the most diverse and inclusive workplaces in cannabis, fostering a culture where everyone belongs. Through employee engagement, community events, and non-profit partnerships, we’re building more than a business—we’re building a community.

As we rapidly expand nationwide, we’re looking for talented, driven, and passionate people to join us. If you’re ready to turn your passion into a career, let’s grow the future together.

What the role is about:

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Quality Lead  to join our growing and dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Quality Technician Lead supports the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager in the day-to-day execution of quality assurance and quality control activities. This role serves as a key operational link between the quality team, production, and compliance functions — ensuring products meet regulatory, safety, and company standards. The Quality Technician Lead takes ownership of lab sample pickups, compliance labeling, packaging inspections, documentation in Business Central, incident reporting, and quality investigations, while also providing guidance and coordination support to other quality technicians. This position reports to the Inventory/Quality Manager.

What impact you'll make:

Supervisory & Team Support

  • Assist the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager with daily quality operations and priority-setting

  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to quality technicians; help coordinate daily workflow and coverage

  • Act as a point of escalation for quality issues on the floor when the Supervisor or Manager is unavailable

Lab Sample Pickups

  • Perform scheduled and on-demand pickups of production samples for lab testing

  • Ensure proper chain-of-custody, labeling, and documentation for all samples in transit

  • Coordinate pickup timing with production schedules to avoid delays in testing turnaround

Compliance Labeling

  • Print and apply compliance labels for packaging in accordance with state and local regulatory requirements

  • Verify label accuracy (batch numbers, potency, warnings, dates, etc.) prior to application

  • Maintain label printer supplies and templates, and troubleshoot printing issues as needed

Packaging Compliance Checks

  • Conduct routine compliance inspections of packaged goods to confirm labeling, seal integrity, and packaging specifications meet regulatory and company standards

  • Flag and quarantine non-conforming packaging; document findings

  • Support corrective action on packaging discrepancies

Documentation & Systems (Business Central)

  • Post QC documentation, inspection results, and test records into Business Central accurately and on schedule

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records of quality checks, sample logs, and compliance documentation

  • Support data integrity by ensuring records are complete, accurate, and timely

Incident Reporting & Investigations

  • Complete incident reports for quality deviations, packaging errors, or non-conformances

  • Assist in leading or supporting quality investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) recommendations

  • Track investigation status and follow up to ensure timely closure

General Quality Support

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and records as requested

  • Identify trends or recurring issues and bring them to the attention of the Quality Supervisor/Manager

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant quality workspace and lab pickup log

What you've accomplished:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a science-related field preferred

  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance/quality control role, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing)

  • Familiarity with compliance labeling requirements and packaging inspection standards

  • Experience with ERP/documentation systems (Business Central experience a strong plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances

  • Ability to lead by example and support/train junior team members

Preferred

  • Prior experience conducting or assisting with quality investigations and CAPA processes

  • Working knowledge of state regulatory/compliance tracking systems (e.g., METRC, BioTrack)

  • Strong written communication skills for incident reports and investigation documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs for sample transport

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move through production/lab areas for extended periods

  • Ability to operate label printers and handle packaging materials

Work Environment

  • Primarily based in a production/lab facility with regular movement between packaging, lab, and office areas

  • May require flexibility in schedule to accommodate lab pickup timing and production needs

What we offer:

  • Compensation: $25/hour
  • Competitive union benefits offered
  • Schedule operates from Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
