Position: Kids Coordinator

Location: Auburn Campus

Reports to: Kids Pastor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Status: Full-time

The Kids Ministry Coordinator is a key member of the Bayside Kids team, helping turn the vision of the ministry into meaningful experiences for children, families, and volunteers. This role provides both programmatic and operational support, helping develop and execute ministry programs, events, and initiatives while ensuring the systems and communication behind them are organized and effective.

Areas of Primary Responsibilities

Weekend Experience & Ministry Execution

  • Coordinate assigned ministry environments to provide safe, engaging, and excellent weekend experiences.
  • Assist in preparing and implementing curriculum, lessons, supplies, and classroom activities.
  • Ensure classrooms are prepared, organized, and fully staffed before each service.
  • Partner with the Kids Pastor to maintain high ministry standards and consistent execution.
  • Assist with ministry events, camps, special services, and seasonal programming throughout the year.

Volunteer Leadership & Development

  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and encouraging volunteers serving in kids ministry.
  • Help identify and communicate volunteer needs to ministry leadership.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects Bayside's values.

Ministry Administration

  • Assist with planning calendars, preparing materials, maintaining ministry supplies, and supporting ministry budgets.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer schedules, attendance, and ministry records as needed.
  • Help ensure safety, security, and check-in procedures are consistently followed.

Breakaway (May through June)

In partnership with the Kids Ministry Pastor, act as the Breakaway Director (May through June)

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, while practicing a deepening walk with Jesus Christ.
  • Connect regularly with the Kids Director on the vision of Bayside Kids.
  • Work as part of the Kids Ministry team and assist with the development of a strategic vision for Kids Ministry
  • Be present at worship services and strategic special events as directed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Kids Pastor.

Qualification

  • 2 year’s experience in related field
  • Proficient in using modern technology tools, with a solid understanding of basic computer operations and the ability to quickly learn new applications and systems
