Job Description

MAINTENANCE TRADES SPECIALIST


The Maintenance Trade Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of facilities and equipment across various sites. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to prevent downtime and extend asset life. The specialist will collaborate closely with other maintenance and operations teams to implement preventive maintenance programs and respond promptly to emergency repair needs. By applying technical expertise and adhering to safety standards, the role contributes directly to the reliability and productivity of the organization’s infrastructure. Ultimately, the Maintenance Trade Specialist ensures that all maintenance activities support the company’s goals of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

LOCATION: River Park Landings, Middleboro, MA

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


Responsibilities:

    Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.Diagnose malfunctions and execute timely repairs on a wide range of equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical circuits, and machinery.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent, to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize maintenance tasks and develop strategies for minimizing downtime and optimizing resource use.Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel

Skills:

    a combination of technical and analytical skills daily to troubleshoot and repair complex systems efficiently. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge allows the specialist to interpret schematics and manuals to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance activities clearly and effectively. Time management and organizational skills help prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines and minimize downtime. Additionally, adherence to safety protocols ensures that all maintenance work is conducted in a secure and compliant manner, protecting both personnel and equipment.


WHAT YOU BRING


Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience in maintenance trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical repair.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Technical certification or vocational training in a relevant trade.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.Ability to operate specialized maintenance equipment and tools.Previous experience working in a large industrial or commercial facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, crouching, and working in all weather conditions.
