Location: Naval Support Activity (NSA) Panama City, Florida


Position Overview

Anchor Innovation, Inc. is seeking experienced maritime professionals to support the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) in Panama City, Florida. These positions will support one of the Navy's premier diving and salvage training commands by providing vessel operations, waterfront support, preventive and corrective maintenance, logistics, and port administration for a diverse fleet of service craft, diving support vessels, small boats, trailers, and specialized salvage equipment.

Anchor Innovation is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing operations, maintenance, logistics, engineering, and training support to the U.S. Department of Defense.

We are seeking qualified candidates with experience in commercial maritime operations, military watercraft, marine engineering, vessel maintenance, waterfront logistics, and marine mechanical systems for anticipated positions supporting this effort.

  • Material Handling Equipment (Forklift) Operators
  • Crane Operators
  • Additional maritime, logistics, maintenance, and waterfront support positions

General Responsibilities

Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

  • Operate and maintain Navy service craft, Yard Diving Tenders (YDTs), small boats, personal watercraft, trailers, and associated waterfront equipment.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and unscheduled maintenance on marine propulsion systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, trailers, and salvage equipment.
  • Support Navy diving, salvage, and waterfront training operations through safe vessel operations and logistical support.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preservation, and equipment testing.
  • Maintain maintenance records, equipment documentation, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Support launch and recovery operations, line handling, mooring, towing, rigging, and waterfront activities.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating vessel maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Operate material handling equipment and cranes as required to support waterfront operations.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable U.S. Coast Guard, OSHA, Navy, environmental, and contract requirements.
  • Support quality assurance, safety, and operational readiness while maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Perform additional duties necessary to support mission requirements and uninterrupted training operations.

General Qualifications

Qualifications will vary by position; however, ideal candidates may possess:

  • Experience operating, maintaining, or repairing commercial, military, or government vessels.
  • Experience supporting waterfront operations, port operations, vessel maintenance, or marine logistics.
  • Mechanical, diesel, hydraulic, electrical, propulsion, or marine systems experience.
  • U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC), licenses, endorsements, or engineering credentials applicable to the position.
  • Experience with small boats, diving support vessels, workboats, tugboats, research vessels, offshore vessels, or military craft.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate vessels, marine equipment, forklifts, cranes, and related waterfront equipment, when required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a dynamic waterfront environment supporting year-round operations.
  • Ability to meet applicable installation access, credentialing, background investigation, and security requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Military veterans and candidates with prior U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command (MSC), Army Watercraft, commercial marine, shipyard, offshore, tug and barge, or maritime industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Work Environment

Work is performed primarily at Naval Support Activity Panama City, Florida, in support of the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center. Positions may involve waterfront operations, vessel operations, maintenance facilities, piers, and outdoor environments supporting Navy training missions. Work schedules are generally Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours or mission support as operational requirements dictate.
