# MSCT Outreach Representative – Job Description

## Position Summary

The **Outreach Representative*
* serves as a key representative of MSCT in the community and is responsible for increasing awareness of MSCT’s educational and career-training programs. This position focuses on developing relationships with prospective students, community organizations, schools, workforce agencies, employers, and other referral partners.

The Outreach Representative will generate prospective student leads, conduct community outreach activities, participate in events, and work closely with the Admissions team to support MSCT’s enrollment goals. The position requires strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and consistent follow-up.

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

### Community Outreach & Recruitment

* Represent MSCT professionally throughout the community.

* Promote MSCT’s programs, services, and career-training opportunities to prospective students and community partners.

* Identify new outreach opportunities and referral sources.

* Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, workforce development agencies, nonprofit organizations, employers, and other community partners.

* Conduct presentations and information sessions about MSCT programs and enrollment opportunities.

* Participate in career fairs, community events, job fairs, school visits, open houses, and other recruitment activities.

* Coordinate outreach activities designed to generate qualified prospective student leads.

* Distribute approved MSCT marketing and informational materials throughout the community.

### Prospective Student Follow-Up

* Engage prospective students through phone calls, text messages, email, and in-person communication.

* Respond to inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.

* Schedule prospective students for appointments, information sessions, tours, and meetings with Admissions.

* Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students and referrals.

* Provide prospective students with accurate general information regarding MSCT programs and connect them with the appropriate department for additional assistance.

* Work closely with Admissions to ensure a smooth transition from initial outreach contact to the admissions process.

### Community Partnerships

* Establish and maintain relationships with organizations that can serve as referral sources for MSCT.

* Identify opportunities for new community, employer, and workforce partnerships.

* Maintain updated contact information for community partners.

* Conduct regular follow-up with existing partners to strengthen relationships and identify additional opportunities.

* Coordinate with Career Services when outreach activities identify potential internship or employer partnerships.

### Documentation & Orbund

* Enter and maintain accurate prospective student and outreach information in **Orbund**.

* Document leads, referrals, appointments, follow-up activities, and outcomes.

* Maintain accurate records of outreach events and community contacts.

* Track the source of prospective student referrals.

* Ensure outreach information is entered promptly and accurately.

* Maintain confidentiality of student and prospective student information in accordance with MSCT policies and applicable requirements.

## Performance Expectations / KPIs

The Outreach Representative may be evaluated based on:

* Number of outreach activities completed.

* Number of new community contacts and partnerships developed.

* Number of prospective student leads generated.

* Number of qualified leads generated.

* Number of appointments scheduled.

* Appointment show rate.

* Number of applications generated from outreach activities.

* Number of enrollments resulting from outreach/referral sources.

* Timeliness and quality of prospective student follow-up.

* Accuracy and completeness of Orbund documentation.

* Participation in community events and recruitment activities.

## Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

* Previous experience in outreach, admissions, recruitment, customer service, sales, education, workforce development, or community engagement preferred.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

* Comfortable speaking and presenting to individuals and groups.

* Ability to communicate professionally with people from diverse backgrounds.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Ability to manage multiple leads, contacts, events, and follow-up activities.

* Basic computer skills and ability to learn and effectively use Orbund and other MSCT systems.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Admissions, Student Services, Career Services, Financial Aid, and other MSCT departments.

* Availability to participate in occasional evening or weekend outreach events as needed.
