Job Description
Pacific Service Center is hiring an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team.
We service and repair a variety of vehicles, from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty commercial equipment. We're looking for a capable technician who can diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and work independently.
You do not need to be a master technician or have experience with every type of equipment we service. However, this is not an entry-level position. The right candidate will have enough hands-on experience to contribute quickly.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on brakes, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, wheel bearings, and other vehicle systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues
- Complete work orders and maintain clear, accurate documentation
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with team members and management
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an automotive, fleet, diesel, or commercial vehicle technician
- Ability to independently diagnose and complete common mechanical repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Pride in producing quality work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to ask questions and seek support when needed
Compensation and Schedule
- $31–$39 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Full-time position
- Onsite in Portland, Oregon
