Industrial Painter/Blaster II

CRM is looking for an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting and blasting a variety of surfaces in a safe and efficient manner, using a variety of tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to follow safety protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with industrial painting experience to join a growing division.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow safety regulations and procedures when using hazardous materials.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sandblasting, scraping, and cleaning.
• Mix and match colors to create desired shades.
• Apply paint and primers to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and make necessary repairs.
• Clean up work area after each job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• 3 years previous experience in industrial coating using epoxies and urethanes with Conventional or Airless Spray Rigs
• Basic industry specific math knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Proficient in promoting safe and healthy work environment.
• Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Ability to use hand tools including drills and grinders in a safe and effective manner.
• Must be detail oriented and thorough in following protocol and procedures.

Physical Capabilities and Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must be able to move or lift up to 50 pounds and perform overhead work applying coatings. The employee must also be capable of climbing using a ladder.

Pay:

All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Starting wage range $20 - $25/hr.

Per Diem: $120.00/day
