We are seeking a motivated Construction Administrator to join our team in support of an EHRM modernization project at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA. This role reports to the Program Director and collaborates with VA client staff to support construction activities, generate reports, and serve as a client-side representative.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, preparing and making professional recommendations on scope of work documents, submittals and proposed changes
- Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trends
- Review construction schedules and support progress and performance evaluations
- Participate in progress meetings and support issue identification and resolution
- Review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for compliance
- Support claims administration, change management, and contract modifications
- Review contractor work documentation and reported progress for conformance with construction documents and approved schedules
- Must take an active part in the task order Quality Assurance Surveillance Program
- Prepare analytical reports, correspondence, and program status documentation
- Maintain tracking tools and reporting systems supporting program oversight
- Advise program leadership on construction administration best practices and compliance considerations
Required Qualifications:
· Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability
· Working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management
· Familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation
· Experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance
· Experience in preparing, analyzing and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the contractors work in relationship with the construction documents. In addition, they shall understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place
· Three projects of the scale and difficulty at which he/she held a similar position
· Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy
The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 105,000 USD per year(Coatesville, PA)
