Job Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Saw Operator who uses saw equipment to cut materials according to specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate saw equipment to cut materials (e.g., metal, wood, plastic) according to work orders, blueprints, or specifications
- Set up and adjust saw machinery for optimal performance, including blade alignment, speed, and feed rates
- Monitor the sawing process to ensure accurate cuts and proper dimensions, making adjustments as needed
- Inspect materials for quality defects and make recommendations for adjustments or replacement as necessary
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, such as blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning, to ensure optimal functionality and prevent downtime
- Coordinate with the production team to prioritize and fulfill orders according to production schedules and customer requirements
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including materials used, quantities produced, and any issues encountered during the sawing process
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience operating saw equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Knowledge of sawing techniques, materials, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision in performing tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, lift, and maneuver materials throughout the shift
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

- M-F; 6:00am - 3:30pm
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
