Job Description
Harmoniq Residential is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual to join our team as a General Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and resident experience at two communities: the condominium association at Lake Shore Commons and IVY, a 28 unit townhome style market rate rental community.
The purpose of the General Manager is to lead community operations, drive financial performance, and ensure exceptional service delivery across both properties. This role is responsible for managing vendor partnerships, supporting and overseeing site-level operations, maintaining strong relationships with board members and ownership, and ensuring both communities operate in alignment with established goals and budgets.
As a successful General Manager, you will assume fiduciary responsibility and provide strategic and operational leadership for both Lake Shore Commons and IVY. You will work closely with ownership and association leadership to develop and maintain annual budgets, oversee capital and maintenance planning, and ensure strong financial and operational outcomes. You will also help elevate the resident experience by building strong, trust-based relationships and creating a sense of community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage day to day operations across both communities
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and project execution
- Partner with ownership and association board to establish and manage budgets
- Support leasing oversight for IVY to maintain strong occupancy and resident satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with association bylaws, regulations, and applicable laws
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to maintenance and on-site teams
- Handle escalated resident concerns with professionalism and care
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of property management or related leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with condominium or homeowners associations is highly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing or contributing to budgets
Core competencies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to think strategically while also executing operationally
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, Entrata, or AppFolio preferred
- Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tools is a plus
- Ability to respond to resident concerns and diffuse issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Flexible schedule including occasional evenings, weekends, and on call support when needed
