Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Location: Grover, North Carolina

nd Shift) with a leading global manufacturer in Kings Mountain, NC. This position will be focused on leading maintenance operations, supporting maintenance technicians, and driving safety, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and people development initiatives within the facility. This position is Direct Hire, M-F 2nd shift (2:30PM – 10:30PM). The pay range is $37 - $43/hr depending on experience.

What You Need:
  • Minimum of five (5) years combined maintenance leadership and technical experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and supporting production operations
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Experience with maintenance planning and work order management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and risk mitigation
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Preferred: Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Preferred: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for leading maintenance operations within the facility while supporting the long-term success of the organization. This individual will provide leadership to maintenance technicians and ensure maintenance objectives are achieved through effective planning, communication, continuous improvement, and employee development.
  • Coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring priorities align with production and project requirements
  • Issue and manage work orders through the maintenance management system and ensure timely completion with accurate documentation
  • Escalate safety, productivity, and performance concerns through established processes
  • Provide written communication regarding equipment status and maintenance activities during shifts
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring and unique equipment failures
  • Support maintenance technicians by providing tools, resources, technical guidance, and coaching
  • Execute planned maintenance work to ensure equipment is returned to operational status on schedule
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment through risk identification, mitigation, and employee development
  • Lead and coach maintenance team members to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial objectives
  • Develop and improve maintenance processes, team performance, and organizational effectiveness
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and foster collaborative working relationships
  • Participate in the development and execution of departmental goals aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure availability of skilled resources and create a motivating environment focused on continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively with employees and cross-functional teams to drive engagement and accountability
  • Demonstrate and promote company values and code of conduct standards
  • Support diversity, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture
  • Assess employee performance, competencies, and training needs while supporting workforce development initiatives
  • Support overall company programs, policies, and strategic initiatives
  • Additional duties as assigned
