Industrial Maintenance Technician in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at Can Shed

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available | On-Call as Needed

We're looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with machinery, and making a direct impact on company operations.

Our production lines, conveyors, balers, forklifts, vehicles, and facilities all depend on reliable maintenance. Your work will directly impact:

This is not a "change light bulbs" maintenance position. You'll be the hands-on expert responsible for keeping critical equipment and facilities operating efficiently.

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
• Maintain conveyors, balers, compactors, and material handling systems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues
• Complete welding and fabrication projects
• Assist with facility repairs and improvements
• Support maintenance of company vehicles and equipment
• Maintain maintenance logs and equipment records
• Work with outside vendors and service providers when needed
• Help improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Forklift experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Ability to work independently and solve problems

This position requires standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working around industrial equipment in warehouse and outdoor environments.
