About the role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Goods In / Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and moving stock efficiently while ensuring inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and workplace safety standards are maintained at all times.


What you'll do

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries using forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Safely store and organize stock across freezer, coolroom, and dry storage areas.
  • Follow FIFO stock rotation procedures and support inventory management activities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete daily equipment checks and report any faults or safety concerns.
  • Monitor product quality, temperatures, and food safety compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
  • Support stocktakes, inventory control, and warehouse housekeeping activities.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures, food safety standards, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift License/Certification.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and inventory control practices.
  • Experience with stock receivals, stock management, and FIFO processes.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety, and quality standards is highly regarded.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, cold storage, or distribution environments is preferred.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in freezer, coolroom, and warehouse environments.
