Job Description
The Presentation Supervisor leads a presentation pod that supports a Marketing and Business Development portfolio. This role provides day-to-day direction to presentation specialists and designers who create, update and maintain presentation materials and related business development collateral.
The Presentation Supervisor helps manage the teams workflow by assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring deadlines, resolving routine issues and ensuring that materials are completed on time. The role also reviews work for accuracy, brand consistency, design quality and overall polish.
Presentation materials may include content library presentations, client presentations, pitch books, responses to requests for proposals, placemats, one-pagers and other marketing or business development materials.
This position requires strong organization, communication and presentation design skills. The Presentation Supervisor must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, often with overlapping deadlines. The role also provides coaching, feedback and mentoring to team members and may help set day-to-day objectives. The position may provide input on hiring, promotion and reward decisions, but does not have budget responsibility.
The Presentation Supervisor works closely with the Business Development & Marketing Department, Creative Services leadership, lawyers and other administrative departments. The role may also explain team practices, procedures and workflow expectations to others.
The Presentation Supervisor should understand presentation design, visual storytelling, legal marketing, firm branding and current design trends. The role should also have a working knowledge of the firms practices, industry groups, regional priorities and business development objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise presentation specialists and designers in creating presentation materials and related business development collateral.
Assign, prioritize and monitor work to support steady workflow and timely delivery.
Resolve routine day-to-day workflow and operational issues within the team.
Create, update and maintain presentations stored in the firms content library.
Personally produce high-quality presentation design work while also directing and supporting the work of the team.
Review presentations and related materials for accuracy, formatting, style, brand consistency and design quality.
Ensure materials follow firm brand guidelines, visual identity standards and applicable templates.
Provide creative direction, feedback and coaching to improve quality, efficiency and consistency.
Participate in project kick-offs and planning discussions to clarify objectives, deadlines, deliverables and creative direction.
Coordinate production activities, including cost and time estimates, when needed.
Suggest minor improvements to tools, templates, systems and processes to improve team effectiveness.
Help maintain procedures, standards and best practices for presentation development, quality control and content library maintenance.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
Associates degree in a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience manipulating/integrating graphics from spreadsheet or presentation applications for projects ranging from small proposals to large complex efforts with extensive graphics.
Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design and typography for both print and digital media as well as knowledge of the production process.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work within design templates and translate design concepts into finished work product.
Provide a link to your online portfolio that contains PowerPoint presentations and work created from InDesign, and/or attach samples of one or more PowerPoint presentations youve created.
Preferred:
Experience in a legal, corporate or professional services environment.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

The target salary range for this role is:
$85,000 - $108,000 if located in IllinoisSalaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
