Position Summary
The Equipment Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, repairing, refurbishing, and preparing equipment for shipment. This position ensures all equipment meets quality standards, functions properly, and is accurately documented before being shipped to customers or placed into inventory. The role also includes refurbishing returned equipment, maintaining inventory records, and performing light mechanical assembly using hand tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble new and refurbished equipment according to company specifications and setup instructions.
- Perform initial inspections and operational testing on newly received equipment to verify functionality and ensure all components are present.
- Install and test touch pads and other machine components.
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine whether repairs or replacement parts are needed.
- Disassemble returned equipment, thoroughly clean components, replace worn or damaged parts, and reassemble units for resale or inventory.
- Perform equipment calibration according to product specifications and Machine Setup Forms.
- Apply the appropriate labels, machine fronts, and identification materials based on customer and product requirements.
- Conduct final quality inspections to verify equipment is fully operational, accurately assembled, and properly labeled before shipment.
- Package equipment securely and prepare shipments for customer delivery or transfer to the appropriate shipping department.
- Receive and inspect returned customer equipment for refurbishment and inventory.
- Record serial numbers and complete all required machine logs and documentation accurately.
- Verify the correct machine log is used for each equipment model.
- Read and complete production forms, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, soldering irons, and other small assembly tools safely and effectively.
- Communicate equipment issues, discrepancies, or unclear setup instructions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: Starting at $18
