Account Manager - Contract in Long Beach, California at Redbarn Pet Products LLC

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Independent Contractor – Pet Channel Account Manager to grow sales and strengthen customer relationships across Western Canada.

This role will manage distributor and retail relationships, identify new sales opportunities, increase product placement and shelf space, support promotions, and develop key accounts within the pet channel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow distributor and retailer relationships
• Increase sales, product placement, shelf space, and secondary placements
• Conduct business reviews and develop account growth plans
• Support distributor and retailer sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows
• Coordinate product samples, promotions, POP materials, and signage
• Identify and develop new account opportunities
• Support pricing, inventory, returns, deductions, and credits
• Provide ongoing field support to distributors and retail partners
• Build strong relationships with buyers, store teams, and sales representatives

• Proven experience in territory, account, or field sales
• Pet industry and/or pet channel experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated track record of growing sales and revenue
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Ability to travel regularly by car and air
