- Serve as the primary client-facing leader for copywriting, messaging architecture, and narrative strategy, building trust with senior stakeholders and confidently guiding conversations around creative direction.
- Present campaign concepts, creative copy frameworks, hooks, and messaging hierarchies to senior client executives, clearly articulating the strategic thinking and narrative rationale behind the work.
- Lead, mentor, and develop copywriters, junior writers, and multidisciplinary creative teams, establishing high standards for voice, tone, storytelling, strategic thinking, and editorial excellence.
- Establish, protect, and evolve global brand voice guidelines, creating systems that maintain consistency while allowing appropriate flexibility across audiences, channels, markets, and campaign contexts.
- Oversee the end-to-end writing process across multidisciplinary teams, partnering closely with Design, Art Direction, Strategy, Motion, and Product to integrate copy seamlessly into broader creative concepts.
- Navigate complex and sometimes competing client feedback with confidence, protecting the integrity of the narrative while adapting creative strategy to meet commercial and business objectives.
- Shape editorial direction for high-impact brand campaigns, long-form storytelling, product narratives, scripts, digital experiences, and other content designed to strengthen brand connection and engagement.
- Drive innovation in messaging and campaign copy, exploring new storytelling approaches across emerging technologies, digital platforms, and evolving consumer touchpoints.
- Champion rigorous editorial quality control by reviewing written deliverables for narrative precision, messaging hierarchy, grammatical accuracy, tone consistency, brand alignment, and overall craft.
- Guide multi-market localization and regional adaptations, ensuring campaigns remain culturally relevant, authentic, compelling, and consistent with the underlying global brand voice.
- Partner with project management and creative leadership to optimize copy production workflows, prioritize deliverables, and meet demanding timelines without compromising creative quality.
- 10+ years of writing leadership experience within leading creative agencies or in-house creative organizations, supported by a strong portfolio of high-impact campaign copy, narrative design, and brand storytelling.
- Proven experience as a senior client-facing creative leader, with the executive presence and communication skills required to pitch, defend, refine, and secure approval for major creative concepts with senior stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in voice and tone architecture, including the development of comprehensive brand voice systems, editorial guidelines, messaging frameworks, and scalable narrative structures for complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop copywriters and creative talent, helping individuals strengthen their craft, strategic thinking, narrative structure, and overall creative impact.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex products, technical concepts, product innovations, and abstract ideas into clear, human, emotionally resonant stories that connect with consumers.
- Extensive experience directing multi-channel copy across major campaigns, product launches, video scripts, digital ecosystems, brand platforms, and other high-visibility creative initiatives.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and attention to detail, with a strong command of messaging hierarchy, grammar, tone, narrative flow, consistency, and overall written quality.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Design, Art Direction, Strategy, Product, Motion, and other creative and business leaders to build unified experiences.
- Strategic and data-informed approach to creative writing, using audience research, testing insights, performance data, and other evidence to shape, validate, and defend copy strategies.
- Experience overseeing multi-market localization and regional adaptations, with a strong understanding of how to preserve core brand voice while making storytelling culturally authentic and relevant.
- Strong ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while balancing creative ambition, client expectations, business objectives, and tight production timelines.
- Excellent presentation, communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the confidence to represent creative thinking with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- The role is remote within the United States but is not currently available for hire or work in New Mexico or Hawaii.
- $130,000–$169,000 USD salary range, with final compensation determined by factors including experience, qualifications, specialization, budget, market demand, and local market conditions.
- Remote work within the United States, subject to the stated geographic restriction.
- Opportunity to lead high-profile global campaigns and shape the creative voice of major technology brands.
- Hands-on influence across brand strategy, digital experiences, product launches, emerging technology, and multidisciplinary creative work.
- Collaborative environment bringing together writing, design, technology, strategy, motion, and product expertise.
- Opportunity to mentor and develop creative talent while establishing scalable writing, voice, and editorial systems.
- Exposure to global campaigns and multi-market storytelling, including international localization and regional adaptation.
