This role will own the Privacy Incident Management function, helping ensure personal-data incidents are assessed, managed, and resolved effectively. You will lead time-sensitive investigations and coordinate closely with Privacy, Legal, Security, Product, Engineering, and Communications teams. The position combines privacy expertise, technical investigation, incident leadership, and operational risk management. You will also strengthen incident readiness through better workflows, automation, documentation, and responder enablement. Success in this role requires sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and executive audiences. • Own the end-to-end Privacy Incident Management program, including notification workflows, escalation paths, process documentation, responder enablement, and opportunities for automation.
• Serve as the primary incident lead and Incident Commander for privacy events, coordinating Privacy, Privacy Legal, security response, Product, Engineering, Communications, and other stakeholders through analysis, remediation, and follow-through.
• Maintain on-call readiness for privacy incident triage, severity classification, urgent escalations, and appropriate routing of incidents.
• Lead privacy incident retrospectives, track remediation actions and control gaps, and produce reporting on incident trends, remediation progress, and overall process health.
• Build strong relationships across functions and geographies to improve privacy readiness, response quality, accountability, and coordination.
• Support broader Privacy initiatives during lower-volume periods, including cross-functional programs, tooling improvements, and automation projects.

• Bring 3+ years of experience in privacy, security, incident response, technology risk, or a related operational risk function, with experience managing incident, issue, or risk workflows involving structured analysis, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Demonstrate strong incident management capabilities and the ability to communicate privacy risks and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including through written analyses, retrospectives, and executive summaries.
• Have experience leading technical investigations in cloud-native environments, with hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis tools such as Postgres, MongoDB, Airflow, Looker, or Snowflake.
• Demonstrate a track record of building automation that reduces manual operational work and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of incident response.
• Possess working knowledge of privacy regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, ePrivacy, DPIAs/PIAs, ROPA, data subject rights, privacy controls, and privacy issue management.
• Use and develop generative AI responsibly, maintaining appropriate human oversight while delivering business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Bring strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving, and highly collaborative environments.

• Annual base salary ranging from $135,320 to $159,200 USD, excluding equity and bonus opportunities.
