Job Description
Summary
A laborer performs a variety of duties and tasks in support of plant operations.
What we do:
SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and sleep plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America.
The right candidate will
- Performs clean up, removal of trash, coolant, oil, scrap, chips, etc.Daily, weekly, monthly, custodial dutiesMoves equipment, and parts using the fork truck, crane, or other material handling equipmentAssists other employees as directed by management or group leadersCompletes paperworkKeeps work area, tools and equipment clean and orderlyReports and/or corrects all unsafe conditions immediatelyAll other assigned duties
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED preferredReading / Writing skills (literacy) as requiredAbility to lift up to 50lbs
