Job Description

Field & Infusion Nurse (RN)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field & Infusion Nurse (RN) based in Canada.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to deliver specialized infusion therapies directly within patients’ homes and clinic environments. You will play a key part in supporting complex treatment plans, ensuring safe and high-quality administration of medications, and closely monitoring patient outcomes before and after infusion. Working autonomously while remaining connected to a multidisciplinary care team, you will act as both a clinical expert and a trusted patient educator. The position combines hands-on clinical care, patient relationship building, and coordinated care delivery across homecare and clinic settings. It is well suited for nurses who thrive in independent field work while maintaining strong clinical standards and documentation practices. Your work will directly improve patient experience, safety, and access to essential therapies.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective infusion care while ensuring strong communication, compliance, and coordination across all stakeholders involved in patient treatment.

  • Administer medications and infusion therapies in patient homes, clinics, and physician-supported settings
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on treatments, procedures, and care plans
  • Document all clinical activities accurately in compliance with nursing standards and organizational procedures
  • Report adverse events, product issues, and clinical concerns according to established guidelines
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and schedulers
  • Manage appointment scheduling, travel between sites, and timely delivery of care within assigned regions
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing clinical training and professional development
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse with strong clinical experience in acute, critical care, or home infusion settings. You are confident working independently in the field while maintaining strong attention to safety, detail, and patient-centered care.

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with CPR certification
  • 1+ year of IV initiation experience (required)
  • Experience in acute care, emergency, critical care, outpatient, or home healthcare settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple visits and schedules
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned geographic areas
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office tools and digital documentation systems
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or central line/port experience are considered an asset
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range aligned with experience and qualifications
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid parental leave and caregiver support programs
  • Training, professional development, and ongoing clinical education opportunities
  • Flexible field-based work environment with autonomy in daily scheduling
  • Employee wellness, mental health, and support resources
  • Opportunities to work within a specialized, high-impact clinical care network.
