Job Description

Events Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Events Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, hands-on field marketing role focused on owning the full lifecycle of industry events, trade shows, and conferences across North America. You will be responsible for selecting the right events, executing them end-to-end, and ensuring each activation directly contributes to pipeline and revenue growth. The role blends strategic planning with operational execution, requiring someone who thrives in fast-paced environments where details matter and nothing stays static for long. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to turn event presence into qualified meetings and business opportunities. A large part of your impact will come from building strong on-site execution, from booth setup to live engagement with prospects. You will also own reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis to continuously improve event ROI. This is a highly visible role ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, travel, and building standout in-person brand experiences.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the full event marketing function from planning through execution, ensuring each event drives measurable pipeline impact:

  • Research, evaluate, and select industry events, trade shows, and conferences aligned with target customers and revenue goals.
  • Own and maintain a rolling 12-month events calendar, prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
  • Manage end-to-end event execution, including booth logistics, vendor coordination, shipping, swag, collateral, and on-site setup.
  • Negotiate contracts, sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and vendor agreements to maximize budget efficiency.
  • Serve as the on-site lead for all events, ensuring smooth execution, troubleshooting issues, and representing the company professionally.
  • Coordinate pre-event preparation, including team briefings, talking points, target account alignment, and logistical readiness.
  • Partner with Sales to drive pre-booked meetings, on-site engagements, and post-event follow-up to maximize pipeline conversion.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute pre-event campaigns including email outreach, landing pages, and social promotion.
  • Own event budgets, tracking spend, forecasting costs, and making optimization decisions across the calendar.
  • Define KPIs for each event and deliver clear post-event reporting on leads, meetings, pipeline, and ROI.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive events professional who thrives in fast-paced, travel-heavy environments and understands how to turn events into pipeline:

  • 1–4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, ideally in B2B or technology environments.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end execution of events, from planning through on-site delivery and reporting.
  • Experience managing event budgets, including forecasting, tracking spend, and optimizing ROI.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and ability to connect event activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve workflows such as research, outreach, reporting, or content creation (required).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple moving parts simultaneously.
  • Comfortable negotiating with vendors, organizers, and partners to secure favorable terms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage executives and prospects.
  • Calm under pressure with strong real-time problem-solving abilities during live events.
  • Willingness to travel 30–50% across North America, with occasional international travel.
  • Must be based near a major airport hub for frequent travel accessibility and hold valid work authorization.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Remote-first flexibility with travel-based field execution
  • High autonomy and ownership over a visible, revenue-driving function
  • Fast-track career growth opportunities for high performers
  • Direct collaboration with senior leadership and founding team members
  • Paid time off and standard benefits package
  • Access to productivity and upskilling tools and software
  • High-impact role shaping brand presence across major industry events
  • Exposure to fast-growing, AI-focused technology environments
