About the role
A foreman leads and oversees field crews on utility projects. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and accountability to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
What you'll do
- Supervise and coordinate daily work activities of crew members on job sites.
- Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Provide clear direction, training, and support to field employees.
- Conduct daily job site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Manage scheduling of labor, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and company leadership regarding progress, challenges, and needs.
- Resolve issues, conflicts, or unforeseen conditions on-site in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of labor hours, material usage, and project reports.
- Uphold company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct at all times.
- Serve as the primary on-site leader, representing the company to customers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Serve as a mentor for the crew members under your supervision to help develop their industry knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in construction, utilities, or related field with at least 1 year in a leadership role
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred, though required for hauling roles).
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening, if applicable.
- Maintain an active DOT medical card.
- OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications desired/not required
The pay range for this role is:
29 - 34 USD per hour(US)
