Job Summary
Responsible for the preparation and assembly of wood, foam, and other related materials. Will interpret drawings or blueprints, apply basic math to determine product specifications. Will utilize machinery to cut, glue, and combine materials to fulfill orders. Conducts consistent inspections of product and adherence of safety laws and regulations. Works with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. Notify of low inventory to avoid production delays.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate machinery including saw machines, wire cutters, and glue gun equipment to fulfill orders. Ensure proper setup and maintenance. - 40%
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to understand project requirements. - 15%
- Conduct inspections of assembled parts to guarantee adherence to quality standards and specifications. - 15%
- Select and prepare materials for fabrication processes. Track inventory and notify when supplies are low to avoid delays in the production process. - 10%
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes. - 10%
- Maintain a clean and organized working space and adhere to all OSHA safety laws and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. - 5%
- Perform other duties, as assigned. - 5%

Minimum Requirements
Education - High School Diploma or GED
Experience - 3+ years of experience in construction, production, manufacturing, or assembly, or related field with proficiency in operating relevant machinery
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Basic understanding of how to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Skilled in basic math such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing numbers and fractions
- Skilled in identifying, troubleshooting, and implementing effective solutions for issues and roadblocks
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Ability to understand instructions and feedback and effectively implement
- Comfort working in a physically laborious role for hours at a time
- Ability to maintain an exceptional attention-to-detail while adhering to deadlines
- Ability to consistently produce the highest quality work
- Team-oriented attitude with willingness to take direction and help others
- Ability and interest in learning other roles to support the broader team
- Ability to effectively pivot based on the needs of the company
Preferred Qualifications
Experience - Experience in carpentry, fabrication or other related field
Certifications - Any construction or trade certifications
Physical Demands
Will consistently lift, push, and pull up to 20-30 pounds on a frequent basis with up to 50 pounds on occasion. Will consistently be standing, bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time.

Hours: 40 hours, FT
