Job Description
Overview
The Inventory Specialist oversees the full lifecycle of inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing products or supplies. In this role, you will directly support processes of operations, purchasing, shipping, and planning. You will track inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records to maintain accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing / Supply Chain
• Monitor, update, and evaluate supplier pricing, product lead times, specifications, and delivery terms.
• Perform and update data entry into procurement systems for accuracy. Maintain all necessary documentation and inventory records.
• Processing requisitions, delivering stock items, inspecting shipments for damage, and implementing loss prevention strategies
• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders following company procedures and approval limits.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, and other departments to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment
• Support internal departments with order status updates, discrepancies, expedited delivery requests, and procurement inquiries in a timely manner.
• Follow up and verify existing/outstanding purchase orders and shipments.
• Reconcile invoices as needed.
• Maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with all internal and external customers.
• Ensure appropriate specifications are adhered to in purchasing materials.
• Engage with Quality and Technical on non-conformities.
• Maintain inventory levels to set amounts needed for production, and minimum quantity raw material orders ensuring cash flow and warehousing space are optimized.
• Work closely with receiving to ensure correct data in the ERP system and locations of inventory.
• Perform physical cycle counts and correct any issues in the ERP system and/or physical locations.
• Report on inventory as required.
• Review supplier KPIs and work with Sales on forecast accuracy.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing products or supplies.
• Undertake and perform other duties as requested by the company and its stakeholders, including reconciling work orders

Work Environment / Essential Physical Demands
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime if required.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation and keyboarding as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk as needed throughout the day.
• Ability to safely, effectively, and reliably receive and give urgent and other essential communications in a factory environment.
• Ability to detect abnormalities in the process and receive safety signals using visual, tactile, or auditory senses.
• Must have good vision and auditory senses.
• Must be able to follow all safety and company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to wear all required PPE.
• Must be able to work in a typical manufacturing environment on concrete floors.
• Must be able to work short time periods in cold temperatures.
• Must be able to work long hours at a computer.
